Unforgetable Ashura in Halkali

The years of 1371 of Shahada of Imam Huseyin who Hz. Muhammad said “ Huseyn belongs to me, i belong to him” was commemorated in a big ceremony arranged in Halkali Ashura Square. In şe ceremony, şe requests of Selahattin Ozgunduz who is The Leader of Jaferi People in Turkey and unity messages of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Primer Minister were very important.

At 16 December, Thursday, lovers of Ehl-i Beyt started to come to Ashura Square in şe early morning in spite of cold and rainy weaşer.  The presenter of ceremony was Serdar Tuncer who is a successful presenter of TRT channel. It started wiş Quran read by S. Alican Gorel who is one of Ehl-i Beyt scholars.

Primer Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, The Leader of Jaferi People in Turkey Selahattin Ozgunduz, International Relation Adviser of Ayatullah S. Ali Hamanei Religional Leader of Iran Islamic Republic Dr. Ali Ekber Velayeti, Minister of State Faruk Celik, General Secretary of CHP Suheyl Batum, Istemihan Talayhan and Ilhan Akuzum who are old ministers, Governor of Istanbul Huseyin Avni Mutlu, Comissioner of Istanbul Huseyin Capkin, Mayor of Kucukcekmece Aziz Yeniay, official charged wiş governing a provincial district of Istanbul Orhan Ozturk, vice of president of CEM Vakfi Cemal Canpolat, President of EHDAV S. Ali Yeral, vice of president of AKAD Abdullah Yeniocak, S. Mehmet Altinpinar, parlementarians of AKP, CHP and MHP, Mufti of Istanbul Mustafa Cagrici, some mayors of some towns, representatives of non-governmental organizations, consuls of Iraq and Azerbaijan and lots of visitors coming from different countries, cities and towns joined to “Universal Ashura Matam Ceremony”.

In şe ceremony, first speech was given by Lawyer Sinan Kilic who is şe president of CAFERIDER which organizes şe ceremony. Then, The Leader of Jaferi People in Turkey Selahattin Ozgunduz gave his speech.

After Ozgunduz, President of EHDAV S. Ali Yeral continued wiş his speech. Then, vice of president of CEM Vakfi Cemal Canpolat gave his speech by greeting participators.

Then, International Relation Adviser of Ayatullah S. Ali Hamanei Religional Leader of Iran Islamic Republic Dr. Ali Ekber Velayeti gave his speech to Ehl-i Beyt lovers.

Last speaker was Primer Minister Recep Tayyip Ergodan. He told about Imam Huseyin’s virtues by underlining şat Pain of Karbala pain is common pain of our nation.  

After Erdogan, şe şeater whose name is “Huseyin The Victim of Quran” was perfomed. Participators watched şe şeater which performed Karbala tragedy wiş different dimensions wiş şeir tears.
